Day 2:   (Page 1 of 4)

Sunday we had to go to church. George shared his musical gifts by singing a solo during communion. We were so proud of him! The sermon was very touching and appropriate and even mentioned Jesus unlike last years sermon in Anchorage. After church we attended the coffee hour where we had a chance to sit and talk with several members of the church who had been affected by the hurricane or had worked in the church during the relief effort.

We then packed up and drove to Babcock's eco-tours where we went on a bus ride through the telegraph swamp. While in the swamp we were able to observe the local flora & fauna. We got to see several alligators, as well as hold an alligator. The pictures don't do it justice, as the crockhunter would have been scared. We also saw Lulu the 3 horned cow after being educated on the difference between a bull, steer, hefer, cow, calf. We know Ginny is a cow and Pam is a hefer. Check tomorrow's website for more details.

We then returned to the church for a spaghetti dinner loving prepared by the ECW, followed by ice cream sundaes provided by the Diocese of Southwest Florida. Ann & Mike got a hold of 2 cans of whip cream and creamed everyone.

Now we are getting ready for the next day and we will send another update tonight.
