We finally had the big feast.  It was an opportunity for all of the volunteers to get to know one another.  It was interesting to learn more about the other groups.  They included an eye doctor, a Spanish teacher, a high school volleyball coach, and the youngest member of the group is a sixth grader.  It also included a number of men from Ohio who still weren’t happy that the Phillies stole Jim Thome from the Indians. The dinner was a combination of foods made by each of the groups.  Father Dave and Father John (from the Indiana group) gave inspirational prayers after which our kids went out and tried to kill the Ohioans in a volleyball match – so much for fellowship!  They did make a valiant effort against a team that included a former pro player and a high school all star.  A good time was had by all.
