from the Webmaster: There is no phone line out of Ft Yukon,
only a satellite phone link. We have had some problems getting the
pictures due to interference from the aurora borealis (northern lights)
From time to time there may be some delays, but we are doing our best to
work through this at both ends. (Alaska & Ambler) - John

Yikes! Microsoft ate our front page! Oh well, it looked nice, but we will live! The Web journal is gone. |

Here is the Scoop on our trip!
Destination: Saint Stephen's Episcopal Mission in Fort Yukon,
Alaska
Flight Information: Leave Philadelphia 1:30 p.m. Sunday June 25; Return July 3
Our first night and day will be at St. Matthew's Church in Fairbanks.
Projects:
1. To continue ongoing renovation projects on the church parish hall and parish hall basement.
2. To assist in renovations of the "morgue"
3. To provide several sessions of Vacation Bible School for about 25 kids ages 5-13.

Food: We will purchase and prepare our own food. On the average, food costs
2-3 times what we pay except produce which costs
6x!
Suggestion: Plan menus: Bring in our personal belongings some food items.
Sleeping facilities
In Fairbanks we will sleep on the floor of St. Matthew's Church, in Ft. Yukon.
We will sleep at the local school gym. We will be able to shower every day but we will not all be able to shower every morning.
